Lil Italy

I had lunch with my family in this cute little Italian restaurant.  I don't get to eat Italian food very often, so this outing was a special treat because I love Italian food.

We ordered two types of pizza (Margherita and pesto), penne pasta and sausage, eggplant Parmesan, and tiramisu for dessert.  My mom also had a cappuccino and it was the best cappuccino I have ever tried.

The restaurant was family owned too and it showed in the food-- it had a home cooked vibe.  I could hear the family members joking around and bickering in the kitchen while they prepared the food.  The grandmother or "nonna" even went out of the kitchen and greeted her customers-- it was so sweet.   It's really noble of her to genuinely care about her customers.  I rarely ever see chefs come out of their kitchens to make sure their customers are okay.  Her extra attention to us made everything feel so much better, you know?  I could eat comfortably knowing that everything that was served was made with tlc.
